Vendor Codex local message ranges / 5h are credit-based and wide: GPT-5.6 Sol ~10–100, Terra ~25–200, Luna ~250–2,000. Cloud Codex features on web/CLI/IDE/iOS; credits can extend after included limits. Chat message caps are separate from agentic Codex. Agentic headroom is limited for heavy daily coding; Pro 5x/20x or API keys scale further. Limits approximate and change without notice.
